Michelle van der Berg is not just a teacher; teaching is her lifelong passion. From a young age, she knew that education was where her heart belonged. Michelle officially began her teaching career in 1992, specializing in Remedial Teaching and working with Grade 1 students for five fulfilling years. In 1998, she realized her dream of nurturing young minds by founding Kidz College Nursery School, which later expanded to include Kidz Inc Nursery School. Kidz Inc. offers a nurturing environment for children of various age groups, from the baby room up to the Grade R class. Michelle is deeply committed to providing a safe, stimulating, and supportive learning environment where children can flourish. She looks forward to getting to know each family and partnering with them in their child’s educational journey.
Janet serves as the principal at Kidz Inc. and also teaches the Fish Class. With a deep passion for education and a dedication to the well-being of every child, Janet brings a wealth of experience and commitment to her role. She is known for her unwavering loyalty to the school and her ability to always prioritize what’s best for each individual child, considering their unique backgrounds and needs. Janet is not only a nurturing educator but also a motivating leader who inspires and drives her staff to excel. Her leadership ensures that Kidz Inc. remains a supportive and thriving environment for both students and teachers.
Assisting Janet is Lizzy, who brings enthusiasm and a love for adventure to the classroom. Lizzy guides our little fishies with warmth and dedication, all while pursuing her studies to become an N4 ECD teacher. Together, Janet and Lizzy create a supportive, enriching space where every child can thrive.
Clair is a highly dedicated and hardworking teacher, with her Lion class being her pride and joy. She is committed to ensuring that every child in her class is fully prepared for Grade 1 before they leave the school. Clair’s dedication to her students and her meticulous approach to their readiness for the next stage of their education highlights her passion for teaching and her focus on each child’s individual growth and development.
Supporting Clair is Francina, our dedicated Assistant Teacher, who provides invaluable support and care. Her hardworking nature and commitment to our Grade R students make her an essential part of the Lion class team. Together, Clair and Francina create a nurturing environment where every child can thrive.
With many years of teaching experience and a deep love for children, she brings so much joy and knowledge to our team. Her passion for seeing our little ones progress is truly inspiring.
Her fun and bubbly personality, coupled with her love for dancing, makes every day in her classroom a delight. She leads the Duck Class, where every day is an adventure filled with learning and laughter!
Assisting Betty is the fantastic Jerminah, our Duck Class Assistant. Jerminah is always ready with a smile and a helping hand, whether it’s teaching kids to hold a pencil , wiping noses , or tying shoelaces . Her dedication and cheerful presence make every day an exciting journey for our Ducklings.
Dineo is the teacher for our toddler class, known for her hands-on approach with the little ones. She focuses on enhancing their fine and gross motor skills, finalizing potty training, and preparing them for the future. Her dedicated efforts ensure that each child develops into a well-capable individual, ready for the years ahead.
Supporting Dineo in the classroom is Jerminah, who infuses each day with enthusiasm and a sense of adventure. Her hands-on approach is invaluable as she helps children with potty training, teaches them how to use utensils, and guides them through getting dressed. Jerminah’ s dedication and energetic support enhance the learning experience, making each day engaging and educational for the kids.
Sandy teaches our junior group children, who are just beginning to walk and explore the diverse experiences that school has to offer. As a loving and attentive teacher, Sandy ensures that her classroom is filled with singing, playing, and communication. Her nurturing approach helps these young learners develop essential skills and confidence as they adapt to their new environment, supporting their growth and well-being during their early educational journey.
Lucy is the assistant in the Butterfly class, playing a crucial role in helping these little caterpillars transform into beautiful butterflies ready to spread their wings. As the “Mommy” of the class, she is deeply involved in engaging with the children, keeping them entertained, and providing support to Sandy wherever needed. Lucy’s caring presence and hands-on approach ensure that each child receives the attention and encouragement they need to flourish and grow.
Babra and Fridah are the cherished “Mommies” of our baby class at Kidz Inc. Babra has been with us since 2002, and Fridah joined in 2006. Their extensive experience and deep affection for the babies make them exceptional in their roles. They keep the little ones engaged throughout the day with a variety of activities, including singing songs, reading stories, blowing bubbles, playing with balls, and showering them with love as if they were their own. This nurturing environment provides the best possible start for any child’s school journey.
